Update: apparently she's black again

So, another week, another ethnic heritage for Beyoncé. Although according to L'Officiel, whose 90th anniversary issue this shoot is from, it was "paying tribute to her African heritage". So given that it's HER heritage, I'm not quite sure why she had to change the colour of her face to pay tribute to it.

In a somewhat contradictory statement, L'Officiel have also billed the shoot as a tribute to Nigerian human rights activist Fela Kuti, who is the subject of a Broadway musical produced by Mr Beyoncé, Jay-Z.

So is this Beyoncé paying tribute to her own African heritage, or dressing up as someone else, and donning blackface make-up in order to do so? Which I'm guessing she wouldn't even dream of doing if she was white. Which, last week, she was.
