Jennie's Hat

Yesterday's hat extravaganza
remined me of a Children's book I that love...
 A great book about hats!
Take a look at the book here

Breezy

Necklaces: Handmade --- Top: Target --- Vintage Belt: Etsy/LookBackCloset --- Skirt: Etsy/Vintch --- Clutch: Forever21 --- Wedges: Kohls
Happy Saturday to you all! While you are all out enjoying the sun (at least I hope it's sunny where you are... still kinda iffy here in Oregon), I shall be working, as usual. Have I ever told you all how much I love my job? Because I really do. It's just kind of a bummer to work on Saturdays. The fact that I'm working today is made slightly more happy by the fact that I'm wearing this lovely skirt. It's so light and breezy. Perfecto.

When I wore these wedges last week, that was actually the first time I've worn them out in public. That wouldn't be interesting information except for the fact that I bought them over a year ago and they've just been kicking around my closet ever since. I've almost thrown them away about 10 times, but I kept on telling myself that I would like them someday so I should keep them. Well, someday has finally come and my super steal finally paid off (they were like $5 or something like that). Present-Day-Leanna thanks the Leanna-of-the-Past for not chucking these.
Yes, I am wearing 3 necklaces today. My raven necklace, one I got in Vietnam, and a red Magnesite necklace I made a few days ago. Why wear 1 when 3 will do?

Vestidos Festa: Convidadas Jantar Pré-Nupcial Casamento Real

E ela foi de McQueen

O mistério do mundo fashion finalmente acabou.

A noiva estava maravilhosa! Simples, elegante e digna de realeza! Adorei tudo!

The British ROYAL Wedding

Okay, be honest.  Who watched the British Royal Wedding LIVE?  No matter who you are, how can you resist a beautiful wedding?  I admit I shed a few tears.

My interest in the wedding grew exponentially this past week.  I watched a Lifetime movie with my Mom based on Catherine and William...  and I was in!  So then, I had every intention of waking at 3am to watch the entire live coverage, but I decided sleep was important.  At 6am, I watched what I could of the live portion, and caught the wedding ceremony when E! played the encore. Thank goodness for the encore on E!

The wedding was fabulously traditional, yet modernized and lovely.  The wedding fashions were breathtaking!  I am hereby promoting hats and fascinators at weddings, luncheons or whenever us ladies feel a hat would be a perfect addition.

Catherine's dress was phenomenal!  The dress was a McQueen masterpiece by Sarah Burton.  The dress fit Catherine perfectly and was reminiscent of Grace Kelly's wedding dress.  Catherine made the dress her own though. I also loved that Catherine did her own makeup.  I respect that she is a self-sufficient woman who knows what she wants, and she wanted William to recognize her.  Admirable.

What was your favorite part of the British Royal Wedding?

ROMANCED! LOL!

Remember when I told you I was being romanced by #MOBD...

Well Senor Future Baby Daddy lived up to his word!

He sent me a practice rugby jersey!!!!!!
Say whaaa?!

I'm a few weeks late on my update post for you, but here it is:

Excuse the SERIOUSLY cheesy smile/smirk/grin on my face!
I most definitely DID NOT expect this!
Can you tell that my gift excited me?!
Maybe just a little bit too much--considering the bathroom photo shoot.

Updates and Giveaway!

First, I just want to let you know that I'm sponsoring a giveaway on my cousin's blog. There will be 2 winners of the giveaway... one will get a wire rose ring and the other will get a butterfly ring. It's super easy to enter, so head on over and check it out!

Second, you have probably noticed some changes here on the blog. I have a new banner and buttons, a lighter background, and I'm bidding adieu to a few things, namely Music Monday, Here Not There, and Good Reads.

Music Monday is ending because it's fulfilled its purpose. I had some really awesome music I wanted to share with you guys and I did that, so instead of going broke buying new music to share every week, I'm going to leave it as is. You can always find past Music Monday features by searching "Music Monday" in the search box. If I ever randomly come across a great new artist I'll be sure to share, but it will no longer be a regular feature.

Here Not There is ending for 2 reasons. Reason One is that it took a really long time to make the posts for it. I had to find duplicate items, save all the images, combine them side by side, put prices on them, and then put them into a post. It took forever. The second reason is that I almost always ended up buying something when I spent that much time looking at pretty stuff online. I've been spending too much money lately, so I'm hoping to significantly cut back on the time I spend drooling over ModCloth, Ruche, and all the other online shops I love. As with Music Monday, you can search "Here Not There" in the search box for all theold posts, but I will not being doing any new ones.

Good Reads is not actually ending... it's just migrated to the sidebar as a blog roll instead of its own page. I will be adding more blogs to it later, but I won't have as many listed as I did on the Good Reads page. There's about 100 thousand blogs that I love and I wish I could list everyone, but unfortunately I won't be able to do that.

Well that was probably more explanation that anyone actually needed, but oh well.

Third:

Gorgeous. Absolutely perfect. I love it.

Not gonna lie, though, I'm kinda mad at her. See, I've always wanted my wedding dress to have long sleeves, possibly lace ones. I know that's pretty old-fashioned, but that's kind of why I liked the idea of it. But now that Kate wore this dress, you just know every one and their mom is going to want to get married in a dress with long, lace sleeves and within a few years this style will be totally worn out. Not cool, Kate.

Plain Jane

Top: Target --- Necklace: Forever21 --- Belt and Skirt: Thrifted --- Tights: Kohls --- Oxfords: UrbanOg --- Vintage Purse: Etsy/58bluebirds
Well friends, I had to get my tights out again today. It's raining. Hard. On April 29th. I am near tears. The dull weather carried over to my outfit today, I think, because looking at this picture now I'm not sure why I thought this was an interesting outfit when I originally picked it out. But alas, I carry on.

I got this purse from 58bluebirds on Etsy. It's super cute and in nice condition. She's got a few other purses I'm eyeballing... if I make some sales soon I may just have to snap them up!

I'm going to be applying some changes to my blog today, so if you are here and everything looks funky, I promise it's only temporary! Well, at least I hope it will be temporary. I have a feeling I will probably screw something up, so keep your fingers crossed that that's not the case.
