Art Nouveau

Between 1890 and 1914 Art Nouveau was at its height. One of the major inventions that accured during this time was, Thomas Edison sucessfully inventing the electric light. Edison experimented with electricity and when he connected wires and a peice of carbon to a battery, the carbon glowed producing light. The Art Nouveau era was very different and almost gave there architecture a very gothic feeling with there bold and masculine doorways and furniture.

I think that this era has some very different designs, but then without this era we wouldnt have some of the inventions that we take foregranted everyday, such as a light globe and i think people like Thomas edison should be more appreciated.
