Today the September issue of Vogue hit stores. Some call it the fashion bible, having 758 pages of heaven. In a world where fashion blogs are becoming more relevant than magazines, how does Vogue manage to stay on top?
Editor In Chief, Anna Wintour is to thank for that. Having said to be the most important woman in the fashion industry, and always "fashionably early" her magazine is the most influential of it's kind. Wintour has first dibs, and a voice on ALL designers collections. Setting the tone for upcoming trends, and designers to wear. The September issue is a sneak peak of what we'll see at NY Fashion Week, where all of the fads and trends of Fall and Winter emerge from. Also a who's who in the entertainment industry. This year supermodel Kate Moss grace's the cover, with articles featuring fashion gurus Mary Kate and Ashley, Halle Berry, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Sarah Jessica Parker, and one of our personal style favorites Alexa Chung.
We look forward to seeing a lot of mustard, rust, and jade colors this season in stores. While polka dots, plaid, & lace are some of the popular textures and patterns.
This is definitely a collectors item, a great way to keep record of how fashion evolves over the years and at times repeats itself.
