Music For The Eyes

West Coast native, Kendrick Lamar is finally becoming very relevant to music heads on the East Coast. Grabbing the attention of NY fashionista and Visionary Director Vashtie Kola with his latest mixtape Section 80.

Kola directed the visuals for Lamar's 'ADHD', and says "it felt like a confessional of a conflicted generation; a timeless and universal theme. I wanted the video to illustrate the emotion he paints with words, while avoiding gratuitous shots of any substance. Despite the song’s title and content, the focus isn’t the drugs, but rather, that basic human experience of apathetic youth. That simple mood of emptiness which we choose to either address or self-medicate."

We love Vashtie's sense of style, and artistic expression. Her ability to mix opposite worlds like skateboarding, and runway. Her eclectic way of thinking is brought to life in this video. Making you think out side of the box, steering away from society's comfort with normality.
