COOTD: #HOTMESS

Who in the hell let me walk out of my house yesterday!?

Aside from the comical/highly flattering commute to work:

I was looking extremely rough during my shift at the store last night.

That's what I get I guess for going to the fair, hanging out in the cow pen, napping at my Aunt's house, then borrowing the Sister-Cousin's clothes because mine were covered in cow hair, slobber and other unmentionables and because I had all of 6 minutes to get in my car and on the road. Oh and for not bringing my emergency make up bag with me before I left my house at 7am.

Estupida Chica.

Rockin' the TOMS and an Old Navy dress...
Oh and excuse the disgustingly dirty mirror at work.
No matter how many times I clean it, I always come back the next day and it has been defiled again.

Seriously.
It was not pretty.
Thank GOD for the brutally honest friends that I have for telling my busted ass that I looked a sure shit #hotmess yesterday.

SISTER-COUSIN SUNDAY

I've decided, and I'm pretty sure that my sister-cousin will agree, that Sunday's (at least 1 per month) will now be known as Sister-Cousin Sunday.

As the start of the first official/unofficial #SisterCousinSunday (two days ago) the Sister-Cousin and I went to see The Green Lantern.

[via]

If I wasn't spending the entire movie "ShhhhhhhhhHHHHH-ing" and giving the angry eye to the dude sitting one seat away from us for pointing out the fallacies and other incorrect Green Lantern-esq things through the movie I was trying SO HARD not to laugh out loud while elbowing the Sister-Cousin for saying "HotHOThotHOThotHOTHot" under her breath E.V.E.R.Y.T.I.M.E. Ryan Reynolds came on screen, especially during the 1st shirtless scene (all of 10 seconds into the opening) and then the damn next-to-nude scene when he is in the process of being transformed into the Green Lantern.

Please don't take my elbowing as a sign of displeasure...
She was just DISTRACTING MEEEEE from viewing/paying attention to the hotness! ;)

My only negative review of The Green Lantern comes from the final fight scene. It was all of 6 (maybe 10) minutes long. It was SHORTshortSHORT. Plus I was expecting some grand battle with all of the Green Lanterns versus the big bad dude, and I was a little let down.

BUT the SEXINESS of Ryan Reynolds
saved the movie so I slept pretty soundly that night.

All in all, the first official/unofficial Sister-Cousin Sunday was a success!

Hopefully There will definitely be more Sister-Cousin Sunday's to come!!!!
Next time with pictures!

NOT A FAN

Especially when the damn thing cost me $8!
It was especially clumpy, and I HATE it when my mascara is clumpy, and dried WAYYYY too fast, which made trying to brush out the clumps in my eyelashes overly painful.

The only bright spot from this purchase was the laugh I received from the sister-cousin when I let her use this on Tuesday night while getting ready for her chorus recital...

She takes the tube, pulls out the wand and says "uhhh I don't know how to use this!? What's with the curve? This is weird" I just blankly looked at her, laughed, and said "dude."

I love her.
And the fact that her blonde moments are a little more severe than mine ;)

SISTER-COUSIN FUN

Saw "Something Borrowed" with the sister-cousin!
Definitely a good movie.
Will be adding to my RomCom DVD collection in the future :)

Oh, and can I just mention that she and I wore almost IDENTICAL outfits.
This was unplanned, especially considering I now live an hour away.
Great minds I guess :)

Or I've just influenced her wardrobe with my own...
I will gladly take credit for that one.

EASTER SUNDAY 2011 CHUCK STYLE

What did you do today?
Did you munch on some ham?
Go to church?
Hunt for Easter eggs?
Or was today just another Sunday-Funday for you?

Today was a little bit different for me.
This Easter Sunday 2011, I shoveled shit.
No, really.
I did.

And honestly it wasn't all that bad.
Because I spent the entire time laughing my ass off
And hanging out with the sister-cousin.

Happy Easter Everyone!
Try and top this next year...
;)

p.s. I move to the city in 7 days...
after posting this on twitter,
my friend D  had this to say:

I think he's right.
Get ready Brawl-timore,
HERE I COME!!!

DISTRACTION & LAUGHTER

Supposed to be finishing a paper...
Instead I've spent the last 2ish hours laughing with
the Sister-Cousin.

Apparently we collectively can't work a webcam :)

Insert Blonde Joke here.

COOTD LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE

I've been sick ALL DAMN WEEK.
Apparently so have many other bloggers.
Very weird coincidence.
I think there's an internet conspiracy afoot.
But then again, that's probably just the medicine talking.

Don't ask...
I'm sick remember!
 Blazer: Target
Top: Marshalls
Jeans: Silver Sienna Skinnies
Boots: Aldo
 GPOYW from Wednesday duh... ;)

 My favorite photographer, the Sister-Cousin,
was trying to interrupt my self-portrait
Then I turned the tables and tried to include her...
She wasn't in the picture mood...
And ended up on the floor :)

Bahahah!
I love her!

If you're one of the many who ended up sick this week, I hope you're on the road to feeling better.
I'm hoping to have this whole sickness kicked by this weekend, but each day I'm sick something else gets tacked onto my list of ailments.
I feel like a walking germ factory.
Maybe I'm getting payback from my body for only getting 4-5 hours of sleep a night for the past 3 months...
my body hates me.

CHUCK LOVES...

Yet one more thing that makes me happy in all the craziness that I am currently surrounded by...

My favorite sister-cousin.

To sum up a VERY long history/story:
I live with my Aunt and Uncle, and have off and on (due to school and moving to GA) for the past 9 years. My sister-cousin and I call one another "sister-cousins" because over those 9 years we have been more like sisters than actual cousins. The past 2-3 years have been VERY good to the relationship that my sister-cousin and I have. Mostly because she now can fit into my clothing and shoes (much to my dismay--for the most part) and because she has hit the big H.S.--HIGH SCHOOL, and boys and clothes are her primary focus!
Just as it should be for a 14year old :)
As I said, she and I are pretty good now. We still have our bad days, but now they usually tend to be more like bad hours versus days, and then we make up because she wants to wear my shoes, boots, pants, tops, dresses, accessories, or wants to permanently possess one of the previously mentioned items.
Regardless of how long I continue to live in the place that I have always called my HOME (my Aunt/Uncle's house) (because I really want to get my own place--with friends--in the BIG CITY!), I know that my dear sister-cousin and I will continue to be close.
Especially so, since I know how much she digs my style.

Let me just gush about one more thing
while I'm at it:
I thought I was pretty funny... I have had my fair share of awesome crack ups (have you read my twitter lately?). Come on, my nickname on my rugby team is CHUCKLES for cryin' out loud...
My friggin' sister-cousin says the CRAZIEST SHIT sometimes.
On a daily basis she cracks me up!
Seriously, when we're not driving one another crazy,
we are laughing our butts off.

I Love You Bratley!
You're the best Sister-Cousin EVER!!!

COOTD TWINS?

I had to wake up especially early Friday morning.
My dear sister-cousin decided that she wanted me to help her curl her hair (the way that I do mine). I was in a very generous mood and agreed (it must have been due to the lack of sleep--I'm a crazy range of emotions lately... cranky, chipper, generous, energized... I'm definitely not preggo so I can't blame the emotions on the hormones induced by having buns in the oven... it's definitely the lack of sleep).

As I said, I woke up early, took my shower, then made sure the sister-cousin was awake so that we could get started. Surprisingly the whole process (showing her how to do it herself and explaining my technique) took under a half an hour.

As a payment of sorts I made her let me take blog photos--since she is usually my forced photographer it seemed fitting :)

She complied:

As you can see... she's not used to this whole
"I'm going to take your picture now... and yes, it is going up on my blog" thing.
I think she gets it now :)

After going through the Droid-pics I came across this one, and all I could think was:
"WTF?! Twin laughing shots... LOL too cute."

After studying the pictures a little bit more I realized that we are even more "twin-y" that society should accept... Look at my outfit pics from the other night. All I can say is WTF? Has she been raiding my outfit ideas or what?.

I have no clue what I was doing with my leg up...
maybe I was trying to show you my black Minnetonkas... who knows.

Outfit Breakdowns:

Sister-Cousin-- Top: unknown, Tank: unknown, Jeans: Unknown, Boots: Delias (2 years ago, I believe)
COOTD-- Top: Target Plaid Button Down, T-Shirt: J. Crew Outlet, Jeans: Silver Sienna Skinnies, Boots: Minnetonka Tall (from Tobi.com last summer)

COOTD ALL ZIPPED UP

This morning's "work" outfit:

TOP: Zippered Shoulder Blouse (T.J. Maxx) (Brand to come later--forgot)
BOTTOMS: Banana Republic Slacks (I'm pretty sure that they are Martin Fit)
HEELS: Banana Republic Ramona Platform Sandal (last seen here)
ACCESSORIES: Michael Kors Watch & Gorjana Chloe Necklace

This top has gold zippers on the shoulders--that actually zip to increase or decrease the size of the boat neck.
Just one of the many reasons as to why this shirt is awesome, in addition to being cheap from T.J. Maxx, the material is pretty awesome, and comfortable, and the shirt as a whole is pretty flattering (on me, I think).
It was definitely a great find and buy!

Here are the rest of the photos:

Thanks to my lil sister-cousin for crawling out of bed on her snow day to snap a few quick COOTD shots.

I seriously LOVE these shoes.

I tweeted earlier:

and the statement is most definitely true.

I went all girlie giddy (this is the third time I've used this word tonight--WTF)
every time I looked down at my heels.
I friggin' LOVE wearing heels now!

LOVE IT!

COOTD BATHROOM CHIC

Oh how I love my sister-cousin.
First because she stepped in as my photographer tonight,
and Second because she cracks me the hell up with her little comments during our "photo shoot".

Tonight's outfit:
TOP: Doleman Sleeve striped top (T.J. Maxx)
JEANS: Silver Sienna Skinnies
BOOTS: Target Boots (seen here)
NECKLACE: My Bare Style

I'll give you her comments with my photo subtitles.

"You have demon eyes in this one"
I was thinking more of... well nevermind... they're Demon eyes.
She's right.

"That one is better--your eyes look normal"

"You can totally tell that these were taken in a bathroom"
p.s. I officially HEART this picture.

"I think I might be in the corner of this one"
Me: "No Bratley, you're not, that's just my shoulder"
(Check out the back of this shirt--I likey--it's just plain jane)

All photos (except for the last one--obviously) taken by my sister-cousin with my Droid.
I promised her photo credit...
:)

PROTECTIVE HEAD GEAR FROM A 13YR OLD

My little sister-cousin is beyond ecstatic that I have moved back home.
I believe her excitement came out a little bit like this:

"Can you stay home forever?"

I had to gracefully let her down and inform her that I did not plan on living at home forever. That my stay is just temporary until my school/job situation gets, well, situated. Who knows how long that will be, but to lighten the mood we decided to photo shoot in the bano with her newly acquired Christmas/Birthday winter hats...

My sister-cousin, she's a special one.
I love her.
Most days.
;)

The other evening I loved her a lot.
Apparently I love her a lot tonight, just enough love to post these crazy ass, makeupless pictures, on my blog.
I'm such a good sister-cousin.

She was particularily impressed with this here SKUNK! hat at Hot Topic...
She just "HAD TO HAVE IT!"
I was, and am still, just a little bit confused by it, hence the need to blog/photoshoot about it.

And then the sister-cousin decided to join in on the photo fun...
Of course texting had to come first.

That's her other hat...
I have no clue, nor do I understand the monster-thingy on her head.
Kids these days.

BTW, my little sister-cousin hearts my blog:

She told me I had to wait to get my Christmas present until she had more money saved up...
She said she planned on getting me my Ray-Ban Aviators that I've been lusting about on this here blog of mine, because she knew how much I wanted them.
Once again I had to gracefully, i.e. YELL at her, and say "Holy Shit, NO!, you cannot buy me those. Thank you, that's really sweet. I love you, but you are not allowed to spend that much of your money on me. End of Story."

Gah, these photos are pretty lol-ing bad... she's lucky that I like her.

We'll probably butt heads sometime this week, it's only a matter of days before the aggravation begins,
but when that day finally hits at least I'll be able to use her skunk hat as protective head gear.
