March 15-
If I ever try the 30/30 Challenge, this dress is definitely going in the line-up. It is hands down my favorite item in my closet and I am so happy that my mom talked me into it (when I first tried it on I was on the fence; she was the one that made me decide on it) for my graduation. I am tired of having to layer over and under it, though. Mr. Sun, please come back to me soon!
March 16-
This was my second vintage dress that I bought on Etsy, but for reasons unknown, I've never worn it before. It's super cute and breezy and I can't wait to wear it more this summer.
My wild woman hair is kind of getting out of control. I desperately need a haircut before I turn into Cousin It. That would be no bueno.

Etsy Front Page Feature + Outfit: Alaskan Raven
Yay! My Creamy Magnesite Necklace was on the front page of Etsy today! Unfortunately by the time I saw it the necklace had already sold (I mean, how dare someone buy something from me?!?!) so it wasn't there anymore, but I got a screen shot from CraftCult. It's in the 2nd row, third item.
This is actually my 5th time on the FP, but it's my first time since June 2010, so it was a pretty exciting feeling. It does make me feel a little bad that my Etsy shop is so neglected and barren, though. Maybe I could have made a few more sales from it if I was better stocked... oh well, too late now! Anyways, thank you to octopurse for including me in this treasury!
Since today was so gray and gloomy (it's kinda sorta sunny now, but it will doubtlessly be gray again in a few minutes in classic Oregon style), I opted for my favorite man sweater. No really, it's a man sweater. I also added a new necklace I made for myself last night, using a pendant that my sister got me almost a year ago for my birthday (at least I think it was my birthday... it might possibly have been Christmas 2009. Yikes!). When I came out this morning wearing it:
Mom: "I've never seen you wear a cross before!"
Me: "Silly mom, it's a raven, not a cross. How could you make such an egregious error?"*
*Not actually what I said

It's from my sister that is crazy enough to live in Alaska. Apparently it's made out of Musk Ox horn, so that's kind of neat, right? I mean, what's not awesome about getting to wear dead animal parts? Hmm... wait a second...

Outfits: Pink and Frilly
March 3-
In yesterday's "Save Money" post, I said you should never skip the sale section just because you think it's gross stuff that a store is trying to get rid of. I think Target was really trying to get rid of this shirt because it was on $3.74 and it was the last one, but I'm not going to complain. I didn't have any light pink shirts like this so I thought it would be good to have at least one in my collection. So yay for cheap, new clothes!
March 4-
I realized I hadn't worn any of the loot I got from my trip to the first ever Oregon H&M yet, so I broke out my frilly cardigan today. I was originally going to wear some heels, but when I put them on and looked in the mirror I just looked so... girly. So out came the flats and, of course, my favorite gray jacket, which both helped to tone down the fancy-pants-ness of it.

Outfits: Sunday & Monday
Sunday-
I got my Urban Outfitters order on Saturday! Hurrah! I picked up this dress for a mere $16, which if you know anything about UO you will know that is ridiculously cheap for them - it was originally $70! You can get one for yourself HERE if you want (I had a 20% off code, so that's why it's $20 on the site).
Monday (today)-
Get the top HERE (it's actually been marked down even more since I bought it, now it's only $10), or the cardigan HERE.
Hope you all had a lovely weekend! I spent mine working (on Saturday), and lazing around after church on Sunday. Oh, and eating lots of Cheetos, too. I love those things!

Outfit: Simplicity
Hey guess what! I just figured out how to make the pictures on my blog even bigger so now you get to see me 10 times huger! Aren't you just so excited?

I don't normally shop at American Eagle because A) there are none in my town and B) they are usually on the more expensive side of things, but when I was visiting my sister in Alaska she took me to the mall there and American Eagle was the only decent clothing store. And not only was there a ton of clothes on sale there, the entire store was 20% off. So the shirts that I got, which were already dirt cheap to begin with, were even cheaper. Yay for inexpensive clothes!

Piano Time
Today I had fun putting together an outfit because it was actually SUNNY for the first time in ages. Dressing for warm weather is completely different than for cold weather, and it was fun to pick out a shirt without having to ask myself, "OK, and what sweater am I going to wear with this?"The result:
-My BCBGMaxAzria green shirt that I bought last summer at the Lincoln City outlet store on the coast. It cost me $7 if I remember correctly.
-My brand spankin' new skirt from Macy's that I bought on Saturday. It has the appearance of denim but it's much thinner and more comfortable. And it has an elastic waistband, which it a total plus. :) It was $14.
-The also brand new Steve Madden white sandals. I bought them at Nordstroms, so as you can imagine they weren't cheap (they were $50, if you must know). They were, however, one of the cheapest pairs of shoes I saw there, so that made me feel a bit better about dropping such a large wad of cash on them.
And yes, I do realize my purple toenails don't match at all. Didn't have time to change them.
-I am also wearing my Indian Bloodstone and magnesite bracelet, which you can find HERE.

A Random Confection of Pictures
Oh, how I love clothes!
Headband ($4) and black military jacket ($24) from Forever 21.
Red and White striped shirt for $15 from Macy's.
Had to wear some of my jewelry, of course.
-Black AA pearl ring.
-Siam Red Swarovski ring.
My dog, staring at me.
This is an ultra-fabulous Swarovski ring that I made for myself (sorry, not for sale!).
I went make-up shopping today. I hadn't gone in several months, so I was almost out of foundation, eyeliner, blush, and my mascara was getting old and mucky so I needed a new one of that too. Needless to say, I walked out of Target significantly more poor than when I walked in.
These L'Oreal eye shadows are my absolute favorite eye shadows ever. I already have three of the duos, but couldn't resist getting three more when I was there today. The three colors I got:
Gun Metal
Dynamic
Mystical
My L'Oreal liquid foundation, my Revlon pressed powder, and my Covergirl blush. I'm not afraid to mix brands. :)
My new Maybelline mascara. I have never tried this before, so I was anxious to see how it would work. I'm very picky about my mascaras.
It boasts to create 9x the volume in one coast with no clumps... we'll see about that.
And the Maybelline gel liner. You can imagine my joy when I saw they had Eggplant! Yay! I love purple eyeliner.
Yeah, right.
My before and after eye shots. I was just messing around a bit... nothing to dramatic. I was pleasently surprised by the mascara. Sure, it didn't make my eyelashes 9x more voluminous, but there were no nasty clumps which is the most important part. The liner was probably the most disappointing... it was not as dark as I was hoping for. But I'll still use it, just not every day.
