Outfit: Rosey Posey

Top, Necklace, & Purse: Forever21 --- Belt: Thrifted --- Skirt: Handmade --- Tights: Kohls --- Shoes: Payless
Coat: ModCloth
I'm back in my white tights today... gone is the sunny weather of the past two days, replaced by darkness my old friend (oh man, I totally should not even have made that reference at all).

I woke up this morning with my first sickness of 2011. It's just a cold thankfully and not the flu or anything ultra-nasty like that, but it does make it quite a lot worse that I have to work whilst having my cold. Is this what being an adult is like? Working when sick? I don't want to grow up! I want to be a Toys 'R Us kid!

Wow, another dumb reference. This cold is really messing with my head today.
Yesterday was my day off and I made a trip out to the fabric store to pick up some stuff to make myself some new skirts. I only got around to making one yesterday (the one I'm wearing right now), but I've got two more on the way. The original plan was to just get mustard yellow fabric, but I ended up spying two other prints I knew would make adorable skirts. Can't wait to see how the orange one turns out!

Outfit + Spring Etsy Finds

I know it doesn't look like it, but I am wearing tights, I swear!
Look, Mr. Sun, I'm wearing shorts today, just for you! Come visit me please.

I felt kind of scandalous on my way to work this morning when I realized my coat is just as long as my shorts, but I swear these shorts have a 6 inch inseam, which I think it plenty long for shorts. Most shorts these days have 3 or less.

Anyways, let's check out a few Etsy things I found today using the search term "pink and blue spring":

Outfits: the Bun, the Bee, and the Brown (Skirt)

Before my outfits, just wanted to say thanks again for everyone who is praying/thinking of Tiffany. Her husband posted an update on facebook last night and said she is starting to recover movement in her right arm and leg! She doesn't have the fine motor skills back yet, but she can at least move them. She is also regaining her ability to speak, which is a huge step in the right direction. She got to see both of her boys yesterday, which was the first time since her air embolism on Monday. She is still far from normal, but she is making huge strides. Keep praying that her brain will continue to heal!

March 23-
I can't think of anything to say about this... I suppose that's probably for the best. Moving on...

March 24-
Yes I know this is blurry. For some reason the camera would focus on anything but me today. Phooey on the camera. But you get the basic idea... shirt over dress, tights, shoes, yadayadayada.

Unfortunately this is not my umbrella. I borrowed it from the shop for picture taking purposes. I may just have to buy it for myself sometime, though, since it's super cool.

Also, new necklace I made for myself:

March 25-
I ordered this vintage skirt from pegasusvintage in the late afternoon of March 21st, it was shipped the 22nd, and it arrived the 24th (yesterday). Pretty speedy, no? It's exactly what I wanted: a brown skirt that's long enough that I can hike it up around my waist without showing off my undies. And for only $8? Yes please!

Outfits: Matchy Matchy

March 19-
Red pants + red shoes = fun.

This is the second of the two jackets I got from the ModCloth Cabin Fever sale. When I got home from work on Saturday, my grandparents were over for dinner, and my grandma went gaga over this jacket, which I actually quite enjoyed. Most people my age would burn something if their grandma liked it, but not me. I take it as a compliment. :)

And just look at the lining! Glorious, glorious lining!
I don't think I've ever had a picture of this sweet necklace I got in Vietnam when I was there in '08. I actually didn't wear it for probably at least a year after I got home because I didn't like how big it is. I'm glad I hung on to it for so long, though, since I love it now.

March 21-
I was feeling like doing something different today for my outfit picture, so this is what I came up with... I don't know if I'll stick with this or do my usual white background. Preferences?

I went on a jewelry making spree last night. You won't be seeing any of it in my Etsy shop, though, because it was all for ME. Mwahahaha. One of my new goodies:

Here Not There

In order to distract myself from how bleary and tired I feel due to not getting my coffee this morning, I went on the hunt for some new stock for my Here Not There feature. We have the usual group of suspects today... ModCloth (abbr. MC, as usual), Ruche, and Lulus.

To save time I'm no longer going to put the "Here:" and "Not There:" text on the images. The prices speak for themselves, so it's not really necessary to have them there.

Outfits: Dressing Up

March 15-
If I ever try the 30/30 Challenge, this dress is definitely going in the line-up. It is hands down my favorite item in my closet and I am so happy that my mom talked me into it (when I first tried it on I was on the fence; she was the one that made me decide on it) for my graduation. I am tired of having to layer over and under it, though. Mr. Sun, please come back to me soon!

March 16-
This was my second vintage dress that I bought on Etsy, but for reasons unknown, I've never worn it before. It's super cute and breezy and I can't wait to wear it more this summer.

My wild woman hair is kind of getting out of control. I desperately need a haircut before I turn into Cousin It. That would be no bueno.
