MUST LOVE BOOTS

Apparently when I put myself on a STRICT BUDGET, the one thing I find myself doing more of is day dreaming online.

#WTF is wrong with me!?

Today's torture is thanks to Madewell.
And because you know it's by Madewell, you know it's going to be real good.
DAMMIT.

May I introduce you all to my dream riding boot:

(in English Saddle)

Also available in Flint and Classic Black... but me, I'm partial to the cognac (because it's so pretty).

I want them.
I need them.
Oh baby, oh baby.

No, really.
I DO.
Just saying.

 NOTE:

DAMMIT. Just saw this...
" YESPLEASE gets 25% off sitewide at Madewell and the promo ends today (10/27). "

Seriously. FML.
I hate bills and real life, and having to be realistic. Being a grown-up blows sometime.

Outfit: Thrifting

Well, none of this outfit is actually thrifted, but I did wear it to go thrift shopping, so am I allowed to call it a thrifting outfit? Hm... I shall go ponder this.

Fun Fact: Only 3 days left to enter my giveaway!

"After" pics from my redecorating project coming soon. :)

I'M A G

Remember when I wore this:

With boots...

I got really excited about the boot part;
I mean my boobs looked good too
[I don't have a picture of that, but they were pretty on point according to multiple sources].

[lol]

;)

Well, after my Thursday night bartending stint I happened to end up at the Hilton Inn playing poker and sharing a few drinks with a handful of business men types...

Aside from leaving the night/morning with some pretty kick ass stories, I walked out [yes, walked... not stumbled... it was 4AM, I was sober by then] of the Hilton with a bottle of Glenlivet 12yr Scotch in my purse, and $80 bucks more in my pocket than when I walked into the hotel.

"How?" You ask.

Due to the fact that my brother is pretty much a poker playing shark and because I live with him I just happened to kick all of those business men types ASSES at POKER!

Hollar!!!

With that said...

Adios!
So says me and my bottle of Glenlivet :)

OH MY GOODNESS!

Do you know what I did this week??

Are you ready for it??

I wore boots!

YAY!!!!
It's about damn time! I've been waiting for boots season FOR MONTHS NOW!
Thank goodness for side bartending jobs last Thursday night :)

Dress: Target [scored on sale a few weeks ago for $10]
Cardigan: Kohl's (I think)
Boots: Nine West Vintage America Collection [blogged about here]
Necklace: New York & Co. [worn many, many times]

Someone told me that I need to stop covering my face with my camera phone...
I tried this time! :)

Ooh, and did I mention that I got my nails done too?

Well I did :)

I went to an AMAZING lady, Marcia, a few doors down from the Bistro who has her shop mixed in with her sister's clothing boutique.
I had Such a Great time.
Honestly the best nail job ever!

I wanted to do something different and a little bit crazy.
I think a fishnet design was the right fun choice.
Thanks to Marcia for taking me into it!

The fishnet design is a process called Minx... follow the linky--the process and design options are AWESOME!
It's pretty crazy... all affixed with heat and lasts for weeks!
The nail color on my other fingers is a shellac [by CND] treatment...  follow the linky as well--this one is cool too!
That last for a few weeks as well--WITHOUT chipping!

I can't wait to do the next design... I'm thinking glitter--LOTS OF GLITTER!

THEY TRY TO MAKE ME GO TO REHAB...

Rehab for boots.

Yes, I did it again.

I bought another pair.

To complete my "collection"--I needed a pair of brown leather.
I have plenty of suede boots out the ying-yang.

Thanks to my skillful searching via Amazon...
I got these:

Bronx Cute Tee Knee High Boot
Original Retail $189
[My KICK ASS SCORE PRICE $59.99]

BUT (here I go justifying my purchase) I got them for $56.99 :)
Just because I'm Awesome (with a Capital A) like that.

Oh, and did I mention that I received 2 day shipping?
Oh, and no tax?
Oh, yeah.

They'll be here Wednesday at the latest.
Tomorrow--if I'm lucky ;)

And that (up there!), Ladies and Gents, is my last big-ish purchase for the the next few months.

I'm saving the rest of my hard earned dough for an apt, my student loans (x's 2), a trip to FL to see my long lost family, possibly a Savannah trip, a trip to AZ to see my grandma (who I haven't seen in 10+ years and desperately miss), and --- there was something else but I seem to have forgotten. Oh well.
I know I'm back to saving mode again. That's all that matters.

Damn.

I was never really a fan of The Hills...
I'm not really sure why, I just never was.
Moving on:

I am more of a fan of Lauren Conrad. Smart girl really. Going from high school to being on a "reality show" to becoming a fashion--I don't want to say ICON, but maybe a Maven!?--to writing books (which I might add I have checked out from the library, yet I can't bring myself to read them yet--again, no clue why), to pairing with Kohl's and creating some not-so-bad pieces of clothing.

I've been eBay hunting and stalking a few pieces of her clothing for a few months now, waiting for a drop in price, or just until I feel ballsy enough to purchase them, and I've also been to Kohl's a few times to try on her pieces.

Not bad, really.

Thanks to the Budge Babe, I was afforded with a sneak peak of Lauren Conrad's new fall line for Kohl's. Let me just say that a few looks have me pretty excited for fall--if I already wasn't excited enough before--now I'm really excited to recreate some of the looks (with pieces I already have in my closet and of course with some new ones from her line).

Below are my favorites.

Enjoy:

This top! Great blouse! All of the sudden I've had a serious girl hard on for blouses.

Probably because of raiding my Uh-Uh's closet while moving her out, partly because the blouse look is a look I just friggin' love, and one that works well with my body type.
Really, I just like business-ing up an outfit.

Sue me, I want to work in a job that requires me to business-it-up and kick ass on a regular basis :)

This is one of my top picks...
Dress--CHECK // Boots--CHECK
Definitely an outfit I want to recreate! Definitely a pair of easy-going comfortable boots that I would like to own. I really love the look of a dress with boots. Casual, comfortable, can be sexy, or played down and simple. Dresses and boots together is always a fall look of mine.

Again, the blouse.

What can I say.

I like simple outfits.

I like simple colors.

I like blouses.

The End. :)

I don't know what it is about this outfit, but it is my FAVORITE of all of the looks! I want to go out, as soon as these pieces hit the store, and recreate this outfit to a T! I love it! It's flirty, feminine, easy/simple; which is definitely my style... I don't like to fuss too much or call crazy amounts of attention to myself with my clothing. I prefer what I'm wearing to be subtle. Easy. And I especially like to be comfortable.

I have a feeling that I can be very comfortable in this entire outfit!
The shoe part might be an issue, but I can figure that out later.

Um boots, again. This look is a Winner, winner, Chicken Dinner! for me! For me I would switch out the blazer for a cardigan. The cardigan--a necessary staple in my wardrobe--I have more cardigans than I need, but I love them so much!
This look is an easy recreate because I have it all in my aresenal! Well not the boots of course. I need this pair--see the comments above--and maybe a frillier tank/cami, but otherwise I've got this one done already.
Yay!

:)

Be sure to check out the Budget Babe's post for the rest of the Fall lookbook [Again, the the pictures above are just my personal favorites]. Heck, just check out her website in general. It is one of my daily reads!

SAD, SAD DAY... eBAY

It is a sad, sad day in Chuck's world...
Why? might you ask.

Because I finally broke down and put my Nicole 'Right Now' boots on eBay.
Remember when I talked about buying them and all that they could do here?

And how they were my first purchase from Lori's Shoes, and how after that all I do is stalk and buy from her website... I heart that place.

And I heart those boots... however, I NEVER WORE THEM!

I don't know why.
I had ample opportunity.
I just never did.
That's what I get for not taking them out of the box.
The saying, well it's my saying, is true: If I don't see it, I won't wear it.
This is why all of my clothes have to be hung up or displayed in some way... or else they never get worn!

So as I said before... today is a very sad day for me... and my boots.
If you're interested, or know a lady who wears size 11 (LIKE ME!), who loves boots as much as I do, go check out the listing on ebay:

They'll eventually make someone very happy.

UH-UH's FLASHBACK FRIDAY [iv]

I love me some boots!

It's a problem.

Really.
And like the wonderful members of Alcoholics Anonymous say:

Admitting your problem is the first step to recovery.

Hello.

My name is Chuck and I am addicted to boots.

My name is Chuck and my Uh-Uh has some wicked taste in clothing and in accessories, especially shoes.

My name is Chuck and my Uh-Uh loves me so much that she gave me two pairs of her boots.
[These are the brown.. the black are in the same condition, but without the harness strap at the ankle]

My name is Chuck and I am now the proud owner of two pairs of VINTAGE Brazilian made short leather boots.
[well I got them 2 years ago, but you get it]

My name is Chuck and my Uh-Uh and I walk the same way.
[We are heavy heel walkers and toe scrapers...]

My name is Chuck and I am GLAD AS HELL that my Uh-Uh and I wear the same size shoes.
[Size 11 Hollar!]

My name is Chuck and I heart my Uh-Uh.

The End.

HOLIDAY OUTFIT

This Christmas I'll be splitting my time between my boyfriend's home in NJ and my home in MD. Christmas Eve we will be having dinner with his Aunt and family, and I am at a complete loss of what to wear.
I picked up this great black linen dress from Gap on eBay for $7 (original price tag $55). I was going to wear it, a pair of patterned tights, and my black suede boots for a friend's commission today, but since it got cancelled, I think I'm going to wear it for lunch/dinner at his aunt's place.
My only concern is that it's too much black. I've got my forest green long pea coat from Gap I picked up a few year ago to break up the black, and of course the gray tights will do that as well. I just hope my outfit doesn't come across as bla...

Here are a few pictures of the outfit pieces. (My camera is busted, or else I would take a pic of the outfit on and show you what I'm trying to pull off)

Unfortunately I don't have a picture of my coat (which I absolutely love!--it goes great with my skin tone and eyes and hair color--absolutely the best purchase I have ever made)...

I was thinking about wearing a colored scarf to break up the black, or maybe even my two tone AA scarf to make the tights 'pop' a little more...

But again, is it too much black? Oh I don't know! Ugh! Holiday outfits are entirely too stressful.

All I know is this: I really don't want to show up in jeans for a Holiday dinner (and a first meeting), I just want to look nice and appropriate...

Ugh. Holidays.

OMG!

No really. This is a serious OMG HOLDY COW (as I used to say as a wee one)!

I just saw the greatest image! This is PERFECTION!

I think, no, I'm pretty sure that I WILL BE DOING this one day.
(Not any time soon... but one day)

That is just so cool!

They are ALL wearing BOOTS at the wedding! OMG!

Boots! Wedding! OOOOH!

So neat!
