I love my Mini Mosaic pendant!  I think it's great that
you can change the look of it by just changing the tiles.
The tiles are very easy to change and there are so many
fun tiles to chose from!

Your work is lovely. I've ordered various times from you to give
your mini mosaics sets as gifts. As long as the quality of your
product remains the same, I wouldn't mind paying more for them.
Good luck!

I have more lovely comments on my
website.

Thanks everyone!

Silver - YIKES!

Are there any jewelry makers out there?

Is anyone else freaking out that silver is at 30.17?

Back in December '08 it was at 10.15, and I

priced my jewelry accordingly, with some
room for movement.

But not for moving 20 points.

Now I need to reevaluate my product pricing, bummer!

Sandy Ostrau

I was just introduced to a new artist, Sandy Ostrau.

Sandy's friend ordered my Mini Mosaic necklaces
with custom tiles of her paintings and
I fell in love with her art!

Rocks looking South
Her paintings are inspired by the hills
and coast of Northern California.

Sale today

I had a booth at the Harvest Festival today.

I love my new tile displays. They were perfect!

I met a bunch of really nice women there, all with great products.

I bought 3 sets of cards from My Paper Habit.

And also like the items at It's Fun to Bake. My favorite is the pear pattern.

Custom

Here are some of my Mini Mosaic custom tiles.

These are the throw-aways for a variety of reasons, off center, too dark, etc.  I am thinking of making a small mosaic table top with all of my images. It is fun to look back and remember.

This part of my business is really fun. People send in photos of children, pets, team logos, wedding photos, art work, etc.

Oh No!!

I was shocked to find out that my supplier has discontinued the display that I use for my Mini Mosaic Necklace! I am so sad, it was perfect.

And of course, I haven't ordered any lately, and I'm getting low. I can't believe they didn't warn me so I could stock up!

I have searched everywhere, no one has them.

I designed these velvet tile holders to fit perfectly into that display. I probably still have about 300 left.

Time to start researching new display designs. Hopefully I find something that will fit my custom velvet!  Wish me luck!

Huge mistake?

They are finally airing the show that I tried out for back in June of 2009.

See post about show here

Kelly Ripa-TLC reality show about women product inventors. Airing later this summer.

I made it through 3 levels of the screening and they gave me a contract.  I decided to pass on the opportunity. Crazy I know, but after reading the intense contract, I couldn't sign up. Mostly I passed because it wasn't clear what I was signing up for. The guidelines were so vague, other than they had complete control over my product, how I looked, everything.

Now I am regretting turning it down.

Regret is an awful feeling!

Exciting

It is so exciting to see reviews about my jewelry, especially when they are in a different language!

So far I have found Italian, Norwegian, and now Russian! Click on languages to see reviews.

I use the online translation sites to understand what they have written. I hope to find more.  :)

Geninne

I have posted many times about Geninne. Her illustrations are so lovely.

I feel lucky to have found her on Etsy and that she was interested in creating tiles for Mini Mosaic. We now have 8 of her illustrations on our tiles, see collection
here.

Animated GIFs

This is a rough image, but good for a first try. I created the animated GIF in Adobe Image Ready. Then I loaded it into PhotoBucket. Let me know if you want more details, I'll email them to you.

Now I need to clean it up. This is a work in progress, so check back to see the improvements!

Happy Valentines day!

New Designs

I have designed a Mini Mosaic ring. This ring fits the interchangeable tiles from the pendant. Now you can use your tiles for the ring or the pendant. This is the first casting, but it came out really nice, I am very excited.

I carved the ring out of jewelers wax to see if the idea would work. Above is the model they cast from. I will let you know when it becomes available.
