The fashion industry's representation of women as objects
is partly responsible for the unrealistic physical beauty standards
that cause young girls and women to have a skewed self image.
Having kids makes this an important subject for me.
I want my daughter to have self worth beyond beauty
and my son to value and respect women.
I have a dislike for the media's limiting portrayal of
women and I have a love for fashion, the industry that
often promotes this negative portrayal.
