Get dressed for success (it helps)

Dress For Success is an international charity that collects donations of suits from working women, and passes them on to women from disadvantaged backgrounds looking to get into employment.

Started in New York in 1997, and supported by Tommy Hilfiger and Bobbi Brown, there's a brand new branch in Glasgow. For more about Dress For Success, including how to donate your unwanted (but still stylish) workwear, click through to the piece I wrote on them for The List.

This is hard for me to admit, but I may need some help...

Click below to read about my adventures in personal styling with We Love To Boogie. And for those of you who know me, and know that I'd rather shop in Primark than let someone tell me what to wear, this was for The List...

Clever honing or just boring?

In light of the previous comment regarding my feelings on being sartorially instructed, I feel I should add that last week (post personal styling advice) I purchased a vintage royal blue cropped jacket, and accepted the gift of a rather bright green American Apparel cardigan. This is a massive departure from my usual palette (black, grey, white, navy) which is in no way related to being told by Greg Milne that I should definitely be wearing colour.

Shopping in and around Leith

Click below for a (very concise) guide to shopping in Leith I wrote for The List. Handy for those with short memories or who, inexplicably, need to be told to go to Valvona & Crolla. You'll be redirected though, so come back when you're done. Plenty more pics of Lara to come.
