Hello Dear Readers of The Violet Reaction - I'm Madeline from Madeline Quaint. While Lovely Leanna is away, doing a lot of good in a tiny but beautiful European country, she asked me to help her out with a blogpost. Of course I said yes, as her blog is one of my absolute favourites!
This Illustrated Shoot is inspired by her blog title. I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed imagining the violets' reaction. :)
I hope you like it too, Leanna, and thank you for asking me to fill in for you! :)

Oh, in case you wondered what I wore, here is the rundown:
Jeans: Takko, Sandals: Tamaris, Top: Handed down, Necklaces from H&M and from the UK, Rings: H&M, and the owl ring was a gift.

(Note from Leanna: To see more of Madeline's outfits, illustrated photos, and pictures from her beautiful country and travels [she lives in Hungary!], check out her blog HERE.)

Guest Post: Nicole from Coco Maria

Hey there everyone! It's Nicole from Coco Maria here. When Leanna asked if I would do a guest post for her blog while she's away in Bosnia, I was so excited! Leanna is such a lovely lady, and her blog is one of my favorites. At first, I was stumped on what to do for this post. After looking through my closet, I decided it would be fun to remix a dress and show a bunch of different ways to style it. I decided on a black floral dress I picked up from the Salvation Army a while ago. I've hardly worn it, since I was a bit stumped on how to style it. So, I figured this post would hopefully give you a few ideas on how to style a dress that's been stumping you since you bought it, as well as help me figure out how I could wear this dress! So, here we go!

IMG_6251edit Look 1 Hat: Modcloth, Flats: Urban Outfitters. IMG_6254edit Look 2 Knee highs: Target, Belt: Delia's, Sandals: Urban Outfitters IMG_6268edit Look 3 Blouse: Urban Outfitters, Wedges: Forever 21, Belt: From another skirt IMG_6261edit Look 4 Skirt: Urban Outfitters, Shoes: Restricted (Note: This is going to sound super nerdy, but I tucked the dress into a pair of undershorts to keep it from showing under the skirt!) IMG_6283edit Look 5 Blouse: Sears, Sandals: Forever 21
Well, I hope this post has given you some ideas on how to style dresses in your own wardrobe! Also, thanks again for Leanna for asking me to do a guest post! -Nicole

(Note from Leanna: Thanks, Nicole! Everyone be sure to check out her lovely blog HERE.)

Guest Post: Lea from Pretty Prudent

(Note from Leanna: This post, along with a few other guest posts which will follow in the days to come, was supposed to go up during my trip to Bosnia. Unfortunately with the way things worked out I ended up not getting the posts up like I'd planned. I didn't want to slight the lovely ladies that put together posts for me, though, so I'll still be posting their blogs. With that bit of explanation, here is the first post from Lea, who blogs all kinds of pretty things at Pretty Prudent...)

Hello followers of Leanna. As you've probably gathered, she is gone (for a long time too, which is sad since I love her blog) and she was awesome enough to ask me to do a guest post for her. I'm excited, since this is the first one I've ever been asked to do :D It is also exciting, because technically, this outfit counts as #1 of my 30 for 30. So in it, I'm obviously still in the phase where I am comfortable with my clothing selection and made a pretty obvious outfit choice: dress + cardigan + socks + shoes.

This is me being a dork and looking through the slats:

Funny thing about this dress. My grandma picked it out while we were browsing around Forever 21. I honestly never would have looked twice at it. It's too bright and I'm usually drawn to dresses and things that cinch in at the waist. I do like it though and am happy I let her buy it for me. This might be a baby step into brighter colors for me.

I hope that I have been sufficiently interesting to all you people who are used to Leanna's lovely face and outfits. I hope that she is having a great time in Bosnia :) AND, random, and many of you might
have seen this, but we met back in the beginning of the month and our height difference is somewhat amusing:

(Leanna again: Be sure to check out Lea's blog HERE. She is studying graphic design, so in addition to her sweet style you can see lots of her art work there as well.)

Guest Outfit Post on Daily Dose of Dress

What, you want to see what I'm wearing? Scoot your boot over to Caitlin's blog then!

A few notes about this guest post:
-I should have worn a dress. That's the name of her blog after all. Sorry, Caitlin!
-I should have at least worn a skirt, since that's what I wear most of the time.
-I should have not made such a dopey face.
-Oh well, too late now!

(I actually have a good excuse for wearing shorts... I've been planning on redoing the shop today, and shoving furniture all over is no fun in skirts. Still, I feel kind of lame.)
