Today, after a full month of ups and downs, Tiffany got to come home. When I got onto facebook tonight and saw these pictures that her mom uploaded, I had the biggest sigh of relief I've had in a long time. To see these pictures of her beautiful, smiling face again is such a blessing... what a big difference from a few weeks ago! I got to see her husband briefly this afternoon when he came by to pay me (woot!), and I'm hoping that maybe within a few days Tiffany will be feeling well enough to come down to the shop so I can see her again. For now, though, I'm sure she is enjoying the peace and quiet of her own home.
I wish I could more eloquently describe to you the wonderful things God has done throughout this process, but all I am able to come up with is that God is good. No matter how out of control things seemed at times, there was never one single moment in which God was not in control. In the midst of seizures, strokes, blood clots, air embolisms, uncontrollable bleeding, internal bleeding, brain damage, the inability to move or speak, and pretty much any other medical crisis you can think of, God was there. He had His hand on Tiffany the whole time.
This isn't the end of the road for Tiffany, as she will still have to do more physical and speech therapy as she continues to improve on her right side movement and general speech. But the move from the hospital back to her home is such a huge step, one that we were all looking forward to. Thank you guys again for all of the prayers, kind words, and positive thoughts.
