I would love to stop using mascara.
There are a few options out there, but either they are too expensive or they scare me.
Oprah Magazine (June 2010) had an article on semi-permanent lash extensions. For $400, the technician will glue synthetic fibers to the roots of my natural lashes—one at a time. It takes about an hour and a half. They last for about 3 months. No mascara needed. I'd love this!
Brooke Shields is the spokes model for Latisse, a prescription treatment approved by the FDA for growing longer, fuller and darker lashes. It’s a once-a-day treatment that results start to show in 8 to 16 weeks. I hear that this does work. But I am nervous adding a chemical so close to my to my eyes.
Then there is the option of adding on my own false eyelashes, but that is more work than just using mascara.
